WHAT THEY CAN SUPPORT

What your estimator can handle.

Outsource construction estimating through a dedicated employee who works directly with your team. They build familiarity with your projects, rates and review process as your tender workload grows.

01

Take-offs and BOQs

Measure quantities, prepare bills of quantities and keep scopes organised.

02

Tender preparation

Review tender documents, drawings and specifications and prepare submissions.

03

Supplier pricing

Request, compare and organise quotations so your team can price with confidence.

04

Variations and cost tracking

Support pricing updates, scope changes and ongoing cost visibility.

05

Post-tender support

Help keep awarded work moving with handovers, documentation and project support.

06

Your systems and standards

Work in your software and templates, with onboarding to your standards, pricing approach and review process.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE

Choose the experience your role needs.

Start with the work you want to hand over and the support your team can give. The right offshore estimator depends on both.

01

Junior estimating support

A good fit when an experienced estimator already leads your pricing, but needs help keeping up with take-offs and tender administration.

  • Measurements, quantity schedules and drawing organisation
  • Supplier quote tracking and pricing data entry
  • BOQ preparation using your templates

Your team provides: clear briefs, worked examples and regular checks of quantities, scope and assumptions.

02

Senior estimating capability

A good fit when you need someone with relevant project experience to take more ownership of defined tenders and coordinate the detail.

  • Detailed estimates and subcontractor comparisons
  • Scope gaps, exclusions and tender clarifications
  • Variations and handover to your delivery team

Your team provides: project context, local rates, commercial direction and final tender approval.

These are starting points for the brief. We assess the individual’s experience and capability rather than relying on a job title alone.

SOFTWARE THEY CAN WORK IN

Your estimating software.

Your estimator should work in the tools you already use, follow your templates and understand the way your team reviews and prices work.

We recruit for the software experience that matters to your workflow, then build the role around your systems.

Your tools, templates and rates.

Cubit — take-offs and tender preparation
Bluebeam — mark-ups and document review
CostX — measurement and BOQs
Buildxact — residential estimating
Procore / Aconex — project information

A SIMPLE START

How to hire an offshore estimator.

01

Tell us the role

Share your project types, typical tender workload, required software and the tasks you want to hand over. Include who will review the work and which experience is essential.

02

Meet shortlisted estimators

We shortlist against your brief. Use the interview to explore comparable projects, software experience and how they check quantities and scope. Agree any practical assessment before selecting your person.

03

They start inside your team

We organise employment and office setup. You provide software access, a completed estimate as a reference, your rate library and a first project with clear review points.

QUESTIONS BUILDERS ASK

Before you bring an estimator into the team.

The practical answers to the questions most businesses ask before adding offshore estimating support.

What can they handle?

Take-offs, BOQs, tender review, supplier pricing, variations and cost tracking. You keep final commercial sign-off.

Will they work in our software?

Tell us which tools are essential and which can be learned. We recruit against that brief. Your team provides licences, templates and training in your particular pricing process.

What hours will they work?

They work the hours agreed with your team. We can align support with Australian time zones and your meeting rhythm.

How do we manage them?

You set priorities and review the work. Lynk handles recruitment, employment, payroll, office, IT and local support.

How quickly can they start?

We filled one NSW senior estimator role in 12 days. That is a case-study result, not a standard lead time. Software requirements, project experience, interviews and candidate notice periods all affect your start date.

What does it cost?

Your quote depends on the person, experience, responsibilities and working arrangement. Managed staffing combines the employee cost with recruitment, employment, office, equipment and local support. Use our pricing page for an indicative estimate, then discuss a quote for your brief.

07

Can you recruit for our construction sector?

Make the project experience part of the brief: for example, civil earthworks and drainage, residential builds, commercial fit-outs or a specialist trade. We assess candidates against your requirements. Relevant estimating experience does not automatically mean experience in every trade or Australian project type.

08

Will they know our local rates and suppliers?

Candidates may bring Australian project experience, but your supplier agreements, labour allowances and margins are specific to your business. Give them current rates, completed estimates and access to the person who can clarify assumptions. Your team keeps final commercial sign-off.

09

Is this suitable for a one-off estimate?

This service is designed for an ongoing employee working within your team. If you only need one tender priced or occasional independent advice, a project-based estimating provider may be a better fit. We can help you assess whether you have enough ongoing work for a dedicated role.

READY TO ADD CAPACITY?

Build your estimating support around the work ahead.

Pricing depends on the person, experience and role requirements. We can help you work out the right fit.
