Plans, sections and elevations
Prepare model views, layouts, details and drawing sets using your templates. Your team sets the documentation stage and reviews the work before planning, tender or construction issue.
Schedules and model information
Maintain door, window and other agreed schedules, objects and model information. Include the libraries, attributes and documentation conventions your practice uses in the role brief.
Revisions and consultant coordination
Update drawings after review, maintain revision records and support reference-file coordination. Specify IFC exchange or Teamwork experience if these are part of your workflow.
Your team provides systems, standards and technical review. You retain responsibility for code compliance review, issue approval and professional sign-off.

These are starting budgets for standard ArchiCAD drafting. A brief requiring substantial Australian documentation experience, Class 2 work or complex coordination may cost more. Tell us the work and standards involved so we can quote the right level of drafter.

The optional Australian experience allowance is approximately 10%, rounded to $50. When selected, it is already included in the figures shown. We confirm your candidate’s actual fee before you proceed.

Is an ArchiCAD drafter the same as a Revit drafter?
They use different authoring tools and workflows. If your practice produces its models and documentation in ArchiCAD, recruit for hands-on ArchiCAD experience. Revit skills alone do not establish proficiency with your ArchiCAD templates, libraries or collaboration setup.
Can they work in our Teamwork and BIMcloud setup?
Include your ArchiCAD version and collaboration setup in the brief so we can assess relevant experience. Your business provides licences, user permissions and project access. Agree the file-sharing process and onboarding requirements before the person starts.
Can we recruit for Australian residential documentation?
Yes. Specify the building types, documentation stages and Australian project experience you need. Review permitted samples and the candidate’s own contribution. Your team retains responsibility for compliance review and approval to issue.
Will they make design decisions or act as our architect?
The advertised role is drafting and documentation support under your design direction. It does not imply architect registration or independent design certification. Your nominated architect, designer or technical reviewer retains the relevant decisions and sign-off.
