About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Contract Administrator / Estimator to join one of our Australian construction clients on a full-time basis. This is a combined role, approximately 50% Estimating and 50% Contract Administration, supporting the client's Project Managers across tendering, procurement, commercial administration and project delivery. Projects consist of commercial construction across Australian Government projects, commercial buildings and refurbishments.

We are currently looking for an experienced Contract Administrator / Estimator to join one of our Australian construction clients on a full-time basis. This is a combined role, approximately 50% Estimating and 50% Contract Administration, supporting the client's Project Managers across tendering, procurement, commercial administration and project delivery. Projects consist of commercial construction across Australian Government projects, commercial buildings and refurbishments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs and tender pricing schedules
- Prepare and issue subcontractor RFQs
- Review and compare subcontractor quotations
- Assist with tender estimates, SOR pricing and scope reviews
- Prepare and assess subcontractor variations
- Assist with progress claims and payment schedules
- Maintain procurement, cost tracking and commercial registers
- Prepare draft RFIs, EOT notices and contractual correspondence
- Assist with project close-out and commercial reconciliation
- Support multiple projects while maintaining accurate documentation and deadlines
- Minimum 2 years' Australian construction experience, overall at least 5+ years across Estimating and Contract Administration (Pre & Post Contract Work)
- Previous experience supporting an Australian builder, head contractor, QS or commercial construction team
- Strong experience across estimating and contract administration
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Civil or structural estimating exposure will also be considered
- Experience with refurbishment, upgrades, government or social housing projects highly regarded
- Strong written and spoken English
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with Bluebeam, CostX, Cubit, PlanSwift or similar software
- Relevant construction, engineering or quantity surveying qualification preferred
- Work on Australian construction projects
