Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents for civil projects
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and pricing breakdowns
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities
- Assist in preparing and submitting tender proposals
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams for clarifications
- Maintain updated cost databases and estimation records
- Support post-tender clarifications and project handover documentation
- Follow company procedures and documentation standards
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in civil construction estimating
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
- Strong communication skills for internal and client coordination
- Experience supporting AU/NZ/UK clients is an advantage
