Civil Estimator

Responsibilities

• Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documents for civil projects
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and pricing breakdowns
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities
• Assist in preparing and submitting tender proposals
• Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams on clarifications
• Maintain updated cost databases and estimation records
• Support post-tender clarifications and project handover documentation
• Follow company procedures and documentation standards

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in civil construction estimating
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and cost structures
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift or CostX
• Able to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, organised and deadline-driven
• Strong communication skills for internal and client coordination
• Experience supporting Australian, New Zealand or UK clients is an advantage
